Inclusive quality education during crises and emergencies is not only a right but way Chidlren and youth affected by crisis to achieve normalcy. this course will focus on the fundamentals of the education in emergencis and crisis using the model developed by the inter-Agency network for education in emergencies (INEE), we will explore the following.
- Access to inclusive Quality Education during crisis
- Community participation and approaches.
- Aspects of teaching and learning during crisis and early recovery with practical examples across the globe.
- How to ensure access in crisis situations, modalities Post Covid-19 such as distance learning or digital education, Tecaher training, advocacy and what particular approaches work to attain SDG4: Quality education for all
- Tecahers and other education personnel in crisis and early recovery contexts
- What do we mean by advocacy in EiE contexts?
- Policy issues, working with government and non-government entities, curriculum and learning from policy perspectives
- Cross-cutting issues, including gender
- MHPSS and PSS approaches in acute emergencies, consideration and approaches ensuring safe learning and improving wellbeing. What worked in Sub-Sahara Africa, the Middle East and Ukraine?
- Practicum of EiE in your contexts.
- Discussions of the INEE Minimum Standards handbook and what are the key consideration of the updated INEE MS
