Our CEO's Mission to Sudan

Published on 18 October 2024 at 22:58

Sudan is a country that i love, this amazing and great country and it's people needs our utmost support in their hours of need, there is brutal war that has ravaged this country.

552 days ago, Saturday 15th of April 2023 the dreams of 50 million Sudanese People were shattered after the brutal conflict has consumed the lives and livelihoods of these hospitable and noble people, we witnessed the horrors in Khartoum and in Darfur. Unfortunately, the conflict in Sudan is forgotten as it barely makes the international headlines.

The statistics of the people in need is staggering, 25 million ( half of the population) need humanitarian assistance, equally 19 million children are out of school as the schools remain closed for more than one year now.  These children never recovered from the Covid -19; slump and we risk loosing generations of Sudanese children into the scorge of Children Conflict and destitute.

We want the international community to support the Sudanese children with inclusive quality education, education in conflict settings like Sudan has the amazing ability of providing normalcy and continuity with remedial education providing lifeline for many conflict affected children and youth, we want to invest in their education, wellbeing and their future with quality education.

Dying but cant be reached !

While i was in Sudan, Famine was announced in Zamzam camp in North Darfur. this means people are dying because of lack of food, in Sudan food is weaponized, its not about availability anymore, its about how can you reach to besieged towns like El-fasher or El-obeid or generally West of Omdurman. Sudan is becoming the biggest humanitarian crisis in the work with many people on the verge of hunger, there are many hiden Zamzams in these fast lands that we do not know of as the humanitarian community do not have access. there is no cross line movements between RSF- SAF at all. this is the root of the problem, because it means aid agencies cannot reach communities behind those lines. unless there is a political settlement ( which is highly unlikely at present) this mayhem will continue to consume the Sudan that we know and love. Aid agencies are extremely frustrated, they cannot reach beyond Gedaref and Kassala, the main needs are in Darfurs and Kordofans were people have started dying of hunger already.
